My Students
Our first and second-grade students live in a tight-knit, semi-rural community. They come from families that value education and hard work. We are a small, public, K-5 elementary school. Because of our small size, there is a strong sense of community, family, and support.
With more and more parents needing to return to work full time, it is more important than ever for me to find unique ways to engage students in learning at school.
I have found that our students respond and learn quickly when using technology for hands-on projects.
My Project
Osmo devices are a highly engaging, interactive devices for use with classroom iPads.
Students can use the device to learn how to code, reinforce reading and spelling skills, number work, geometry, spatial relations and more!
Adding four Osmo devices to our classroom STEM center will allow students to explore concepts at their own pace. We will be able to reinforce basic skills in a way that will give instant feedback to students. We will be able to preview and explore new topics in fresh ways.
Osmo devices are sure to bring a new level of excitement for learning to our multi-age classroom!
