My Students
Hello! I am a second grade teacher who teaches at a Title I school, and my classroom is in need of iPads to cultivate technological literacy. Being that my school's a Title I, the majority of the students that I serve live in poverty. However, regardless of my students' backgrounds and home situations, they do not let anything hold them back. They are energetic, creative, and intuitive!
It is my goal to provide my students with everything they need to be successful inside and outside of the classroom.
My students can do anything, and I wild anything to get them there!
My Project
Through the generosity of Donors here at Donor's Choose, my classroom was gifted with 5 BEAUTIFUL IPADs to build a love for STEM in my little learners. These IPADs are used to build technological literacy as well as a new and engaging ways to approach topics typically covered with pencil and paper. I was looking for new ways and applications to use my IPADs and that is when I discovered Osmo.
Osmo provides fun, kid-friendly apps for spelling, writing, reading, math, and science.
These apps will not only be used to get my kiddos excited about topics that we cover daily but they will also serve as interventions for Special Education students and English Language Learners. The hands on approach to topics gives them a different way to approach the material, and also provides differentiated instruction that can be student lead and maintained.
I cannot wait to see how Osmo transforms my classroom and my instruction!
