Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students face many struggles as low income/high poverty students. Most are English language learners and struggle with school because of this. Even though they face these struggles they are still so eager to learn. To see them succeed in their learning goals is so joyful and wonderful; especially when they struggle so much in other areas of their lives. They want to learn and look forward to each school day. School is so important to them and they come to school expecting to make their learning goals!
My Project
These materials will help my students stay organized and on target for their learning throughout the year. By giving them these materials not only are we helping their academic learning but also their self help skills by teaching them ways to stay organized at school and eventually the work field. They will also have more time to learn as they will be able to more quickly access their materials to learn as well. The quicker they can find and get their things like notebooks the more time they will have to do the practice work to become experts.
