Our school is one of two middle schools in the city.
I am one of 4 sixth grade Math teachers at the school. The students come from many different circumstances at home. Some are homeless and some have just arrived from many different countries. The socioeconomic background is that the majority of the students come from low income households.
My students need new mailbox organizers their stations. We currently use old mailbox organizers that won’t accommodate the large number of students I now have. A new mailbox organizer will help my students keep their materials organized so they will work harder at their stations!
My Project
These mailboxes will be used to house the materials that each individual student will need to have in my 6th grade class. This may be the only place they have to start to be organized with the materials that essential for success in our grade.
If someone can find it in their hearts to fund this project, my students will be organized and ready to strive for success!
Many of these children come from disadvantaged homes that are in chaos, so if we can help to organize them better then, maybe they will have a step in the right direction to achieve all that they can in school.
