Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are working diligently in preparing for our upcoming concerts! I am excited to see the accomplishments of our music students. "Music is the social act of communication among people, a gesture of friendship, the strongest there is." - Malcolm Arnold
I see a total of 12 classes every three days, in which every student brings new creativity into the classroom.
Our school serves students in grades 6 to 8. We also are an IB world school. Our community is unique, which is wonderful because we all learn from one another.
My Project
As our chorus is growing, so are our uniform numbers! Therefore we need more hangers to keep them all organized. We are having many students use our new chorus risers, therefore, we are in need of a vacuum to make sure they stay clean and new from all of our fundraising efforts last year! Finally, we could use a mirror to help with chorus posture. It is really important that we understand how to stand and breath in the chorus room. Sometimes that is hard to do without being able to see yourself. This mirror will assist in better vocal technique.
