Ms. Riddell from Slidell LA is requesting reading nooks, desks & storage through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students two storage carts for their school bags, Chromebooks, and headphones; as well as, two student lap desks and one flex space floor seat.

My school is a large Title I school where a little over eighty percent of the students live in poverty. They are racially, academically, and economically diverse. Many of them have challenging lives, facing situations that are difficult to even imagine, like being temporarily homeless. However, even with challenges, they are enthusiastic young people full of potential and possibilities. They have lots of energy and life.
Education is the key for my students to becoming whatever they want in life!
With your help, I hope to provide them with the best education I possibly can.
By Christmas each student in my classroom will have his or her own Chromebook and headphones to use daily. Although I am excited about this, I recognize that having to store almost twenty Chromebooks and headphones daily and send them back and forth between two classes will be a challenge. Therefore I am seeking two rolling carts that can be used to store the Chromebooks and headphones overnight and then replaced by student school bags during the day. These carts can easily be rolled back and forth from classroom to classroom without creating chaos.
I am also seeking two floor desks and a floor chair that students may use while working on their Chromebooks.
These will allow a little flexibility as students work on various assignments and online programs like Zearn. Keeping supplies organized in a classroom is part of the key to maximizing instructional time and curbing discipline problems. With your help, my classroom will be set and ready to use our new Chromebooks when they arrive. Let's get organized!
