This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth-grade students attend an excellent, inner-city school where every student qualifies for a free lunch. Although it is a high-poverty school, each student strives to succeed. Parents and teachers are dedicated to students' success by making sure our school is a warm, safe place for learning.

Our school motto is, "We're getting ready for college!" and my fourth graders are doing just that!

They are hardworking, wonderful kids, and I am doing my best to get them ready for the future.

My Project

My students love to read! We have a great variety of library books in our classroom. Unfortunately, they are not organized in a way that would make accessing the books easy for my 4th graders. This is why I am asking for a mobile library cart and 16 bins that can be used to organize our books. I like to have my books leveled for my students, and these bins would allow me to separate the books efficiently, allowing my students to find books that are at their reading level. Since the cart is on wheels, I can move it around anywhere in our classroom.

Having an organized library is key in a classroom full of avid readers!

This cart would give my students access to all of the different books in our classroom. They would be able to see them, read them, and put them back quickly and neatly. It would be a great addition to our classroom!
