My Students

I have 35 of the most persevering and deserving 4th graders on the planet. Many of them come from homes that are below the poverty line, but they show up at school every day ready to learn and give me their very best selves. They are fun, kind, curious and hardworking.

These kids deserve every opportunity in the world as they persevere, show a growth mindset and give their very best every day!

My students are not afraid to take risks, make mistakes and keep doing forward.

My Project

My students deserve an organized and inviting classroom library. I have collected hundreds of books to offer my students, but we lack the tools needed to organize it and help students easily navigate the different genres.

With these tools my students will be able to devote less time to finding a book, and more time to reading.

Reading choice books helps my students practice their reading skills as well as inspires them to build a relationship with reading that will help them become lifelong learners. My students choose the books they spend time reading, and we have weekly conferences and discussions to talk about what we are reading, and what we are gaining from our books.
