This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to come to class every day. Most come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and receive free lunch. However, they do not let their backgrounds hinder their learning. They come eager to learn every day.

My students help create an environment that is caring, welcoming, and encouraging.

From day one, we have created a classroom environment where we know it is a safe environment to learn. We can make mistakes and learn from them. They learn how to treat others with respect and learn how to use their manners.

My Project

This cubby storage will be a great way to organize our fine motor activities. Most of the items I buy separately, and this storage unit will definitely help with organizing all the activities. The clear storage bins are a great way for students to see what activity is in which cubby.

Creating activities that allow students to develop their fine motor skills along with their reading and writing skills is very important.

This cubby and bins will allow me to change out the activities when needed. I can incorporate activities where students not only practice their fine motor skills but also practice their reading and writing skills.
