Help me give my students an organized art room with storage solutions such as a locking storage cabinet and a bin rack rolling storage cart that will help us find what we need!
Our art students come from a variety of socioeconomic, cultural and artistic backgrounds. Some of our students come to us and have never created art. I work hard to incorporate art creation, aesthetics, art history and art criticism into my students' lessons and make it my personal goal for these kids to enjoy walking into the art room to create! In our art room, we make connections to the core areas (math, reading, social studies, science and writing) so students see that art connects to many parts of our lives.
Our art students are always creating, doodling, drawing, sculpting, folding, carving, critiquing, analyzing, comparing and learning!

My Project
My art room sees 175+ students a day, and almost every student in the school (350+) during the year. The students need to be able to find what they need and put it back where they found it so we are ready for the next class.
Organization is key in a classroom and helps foster independence and responsibility.
Having a bin storage system will help us keep our Makerspace organized. Being able to keep small parts and pieces separate and having a home for each activity will allow us to easily change out activities as well as making sure no parts and pieces get lost in the shuffle of 175 different students coming and going each day. A locking cabinet will allow me to keep my PBIS teacher store organized so students can find what we want while shopping with our points for being respectful, responsible, and safe! The compartment boxes will be used to sort and store our Cricut vinyl by type. The EasyPress case will allow us to keep our newly Donors Choose acquired machine safe and secure and make it more portable. Also, the Sterilite containers are always good to have around for sorting Makerspace supplies, markers and colored pencils, project supplies on our grade level carts, etc. An organized art room is a stress free art room (and teacher)! Please help us organize our art room!
