My Students

My classroom is filled with eager first-grade learners this year. They come to school ready to work hard and they want to do their best every day. We support each other and help each other with tasks and solving problems. My students are great partners to each other and they really enjoy helping me, too.

Our school is diverse.

We have a population that includes students who are of lower socioeconomic status, many English Language Learners and students who come from difficult home environments both financially and emotionally. My classroom reflects a mix of the diversity that our school population serves.

My Project

We are trying Flexible Seating this year; therefore my students don't have desks for keeping their own supplies organized.

I purchased "seat storage sacks" from the Dollar Tree for my students a few weeks ago, however they just aren't holding up to the rigor of First Grade.

I was excited that I got them for such a good deal knowing we needed a place to keep supplies.

Unfortunately, they started tearing soon after we placed them on our chairs and I have used Duct tape to repair them as best I can. I have replaced several that totally ripped through, but the cost of continuously replacing them will really add up!

I'm hoping that I could get a few donors to help me and my class organize supplies with a quality "seat storage" tool.
