My Students

I have 28 4th grade students in my class. My elementary school serves around 700 students in grades PreK-5th in a more rural area of Arkansas. Approximately 45% of the students in my school are eligible for free and reduced lunch.

The economic and cultural diversity at my elementary school is rich.

Students are not only economically diverse, but they are also culturally diverse. I am excited to see the growth of my students independence. The sky is the limit!

My Project

As the school year progresses in 4th grade, we begin to discuss the importance of staying organized and responsible to be successful not only in class but as a contributing member of society as well.

Providing students with the proper tools to keep organized is essential to their success of becoming organized and responsible.

The students will use the file folders to keep their papers separated and organized. We are going to set up a system that will help them see their work in stages and organize it as so. The pencil holders will aid in keeping their writing utensils in a safe place. Students will also use magnetic hooks to hang up ear buds and headphones so they don't get broken and tangled.

I hope, with these tools, my students can learn the important skill of organization and become responsible, organized members of our classroom and society.
