My students have a love for learning that inspires me everyday! They each have a unique learning style and ways of sharing what they have learned with others. Some students shine through artwork, hands on models, displays, others through technology or more traditional methods. Their creativity amazes me when they are allowed freedom and opportunites to express their ideas. I am always collecting donated materials, supplies, and recycled items to have available for my students. Once, I was asked by students if I could bring in empty cardboard boxes to be used as prizes! They thought that they could do so much more with an empty box than a toy. It is their creative thinking that I wish to foster and encourage in the classroom.
My Project
I am always collecting materials that can be recycled or reused and supplies that have been donated so that they may be used in the classroom. Having materials and supplies organized and visible will allow students to see what is available and choose what will work best for their projects. The carts, pocket charts, paper sorters, and file holders will help keep learning organized. These materials will work much better than the plastic bags we currently use!
Donating to this project will provide students easy access to the materials and supplies they need to share their learning and thinking with others.
