This is my 5th year at a Title I school located in east Portland, Oregon. Most years I have had 4-7 different first languages spoken in my classroom. Students come from diverse and rich cultural backgrounds and I become a learner along with them each year. They are eager and hopeful, and they gain so much when we have the tools and resources to support their learning and growth. Students in my class are excited for second grade!
These sturdy work baskets are something some of the veteran teachers in my building use, to help students stay organized. These work baskets perfectly fit into students’ cubbies and have room for their writing, reading, math and morning work folders. This is a super efficient way for students to quickly grab their work baskets and head back to their seats. All their work is in one neat and organized place, preventing them from digging through their cubbies searching for their work. This is so essential to cutting back on transitions in the classroom and maximizing their learning time. These will help all students stay organized and ready to learn!
