Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you know how frustrating it is when you can't find what you need? I think this storage unit is a way to keep manipulatives organized which will save time and keep students focused in the right direction.
My students are like sponges.
They learn quickly if given the resources and correct tools. However, they come from low income families and have disadvantages that can be obstacles to learning. They attend a public elementary school. Most of my students walk to school because their families cannot afford to buy a car.
My Project
The clear bins will allow my students easy access to the tools necessary for them to be successful in math. It's a way for them to learn also how to become organized early in their lives for them to be productive. The clear bins will allow my student to find quickly what manipulatives they need for their lessons and it will help my students learn organization skills. Having an organized unit to store math manipulatives makes it fun for learning.
My project is very important because the children will have a place to store tools they need with easy access they need at all times.
It will also help me the teacher stay organized which benefits the students and their learning.
