My Students

I am a first-year teacher, expecting a lively and fun group of Kindergarten students in the fall. Kindergarten students will need ways to be creative, thoughtful and active! I absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects that allow them to be up and moving and exploring! I want my students to come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. I am truly excited to see what we will accomplish this year!

My Project

The requested seat companions will help my students quickly transition from tasks as their materials will be easily accessible to them. As my classroom doesn’t have specific cubbies for students to store their notebooks and materials, the organizers that they can set up on the back of their chairs allows them to have a sense of ownership and gives them the ability to store important folders and tools they will need throughout each day.

This will help my classroom save valuable learning time, as we will no longer have to search and try to explore around the room for the materials needed for the next activity.

My students will now know to look in their seat companions which will eliminate distractions and enhance the more constructive and welcoming learning environment I’m trying to create.
