My students need cube storage shelves to store and easily access their reading books and letter manipulatives to practice their spelling and writing with white boards to write them on.
Entering a building where everyone knows who you are and greets you with a warm smile and often a much needed hug, is the daily greeting in our small community school. Many children are full of smiles, just at the thought of being back at school; their safe place, their future.
Our kids are eager to see what they will experience and learn today or what they merely will improve on.
Accomplishments, no matter how small, are always big accomplishments. Being a Title One school, things don't come easy for all our students. It requires work and dedication, something they are willing to give daily just in hopes that they will one day be able to accomplish their dreams. They have integrity, compassion and stamina. Failure is not an option to them, or to their teachers.
If I were to describe our students in just a few words, I would say they are resourceful, ambitious, optimistic leaders.
My Project
These materials will make a big difference in the organization of our classroom. We won't be digging and losing things we need regularly. Having access to alphabet letter manipulatives will allow for hands-on spelling practice which is more engaging for the young learners. When practice our spelling, writing and math, we will be able to see our work on the eco-friendly white boards.
Allowing for more hands-on manipulatives, our young learners will be able to be more engaged and challenged while enjoying what they are working on.
An organized engaged classroom is a better learning environment for all.
