Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from many different backgrounds. I work in a low-income school, but these kids come to school excited to learn every day. I want to give my students every possible chance I can to help them succeed.

My students overcome many challenges to make it to school.

Many of them have parents who have to work multiple jobs or who work in the fields tending to crops. These students still give 100% every day and are excited to learn and share their new learning with their parents. It is amazing to see just how much they learn and grow each day.

While I work with first grade students, I am trying to help build the foundation they need to develop a lifelong love of learning. My students face each challenge with a smile and a "can do" attitude. Together, we will learn and grow every day.

My Project

Please help me give my students more hands-on manipulatives for math. Creating math manipulative kits for my students has provided them the opportunity to take our math lessons to the next level.

Through hands-on activities, my students are having fun and learning more each and every day!

My students love math time now.

The sofa table will allow me to put book bins out with books students can grab when they finish their work or have extra time throughout the day. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will allow me to get the learning materials I need to meet the needs of all my students.
