My Students

I am a 4th-grade teacher in a Title I school. My students love learning, love coming to school, and are respectful to their teachers. My students live in a place that has been known to be the most dangerous and violent city in America. Coming to school is a safe place for many of them.

My students are preparing to be resilient individuals.

Change happens too often in their lives. They face many unfortunate circumstances that I hope many will find my classroom to be an outlet to just enjoy being children. They understand the severity of a safe, healthy, and happy education.

My Project

My goal for my students are to become avid readers. As a young teacher, I am proud of my collection of books. My students are constantly looking through my boxes and crates of books. To make it easier for my students to find a new book, we should have an organized classroom library.

Organization is key to a happy classroom.

The more organized the books in the classroom are, the more the students are willing to read and pick a book they haven't read yet. Students will also put books back into the classroom library with more ease.
