Students with whom I directly work with are changing my life and the lives around them, each and every day.
They are 21st-century learners who have the aspiration to learn and grow; however, sadly, they don't always have those of us on their side who recognize they can learn and grow.
I teach in a community where we service refugees, low-income, single-parent families, homeless, poverty-stricken families who all need a breath of fresh air. Please assist me with providing a breath of fresh air for my community.
My Project
Throughout my teaching career, I have learned that I have to teach more than the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic, to my students.
Some of the items that your donation(s) will go towards are replenishing all the pencils, glue, rubber bands and erasers, that we always seem to run out of.
Other items, such as all the "I Can Read" books will allow me to continue working with my students and give them additional books that will build their self-confidence in reading.
With all of these items, I can get back to focusing on the basics and finish the current school year off right!
