Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Many of my students come from low-income households and come to school excited and ready to learn with a smile. I am passionate about helping my students learn and want to cultivate their love for learning. They are wiggly and love to dance and move around as they learn.
I love that I have the honor to teach first grade and I love this age 6 and 7 because it’s a fun age where they are reading everything and learning more about themselves.
My students are an energetic bunch with a lot of love to share and a brain that is activated to learn!
My Project
The items that I have chosen will allow my students to learn where everything goes in our classroom and it will teach them to not only clean with the labels they will read but they will also learn their is a place for every item. The folders will be used to make testing folders for my students and they can personalize them. Having students read labels to help them clean will also be skills they need outside of the classroom. All the items will serve the students in life skills that go beyond my classroom.
