Our school and community have been greatly impacted by flood waters that occurred from Hurricane Harvey. Many of our students have been through so much this school year, from losing homes to relocating temporarily or for good.
Our elementary campus flooded, so this year we are calling a science lab at the junior high our home.
We share this lab with another second-grade class. Our number of students in one room totals 34. It is a tight squeeze, but we are doing our best in the situation we have been presented.
Every day, my students come with smiles, ready to get better! I am so proud of how they have adapted to every new challenge this year.
My students need these clip boxes to organize their artwork throughout the year.
At the end of the year, they will have a memory to take home that will include all their special projects from the year in order that they made them.
Having these boxes will allow students to organize the artwork they completed. This will also help the families be able to store their artwork at home. Coming from a place where hurricanes are so frequent, this is important to be able to have all of these memories in one spot and easy to grab. Thank you in advance.
