Help me give my students supplies to organize and design our art room!
This project expired on November 8, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to have them appreciate themselves and each other. My students have been dismissed as not being able to learn by others, and it's crucial to let them know that they are capable of learning and succeeding.
Every week I see all 500+ students in the school for art.
We work hard to create, and we need some extra support this year. Our budget got messed up, and the money we expected for the art room this year isn't coming. We're asking for a little bit of extra help.
My classroom got a makeover this year, which isn't anywhere nearly as impressive as it sounds. Our lead paint was stabilized into the walls, and some asbestos and mold was removed from our ceiling. Glorious, right?
We need to make our classroom suitable for learning again.
We're looking for drawers for organization and curtains to hide the drawers to make our space look nice. We need a laminator to protect and hang exemplary student work and large straws to keep our pencils secure on our desks. We're looking forward to making our classroom clean, organized, neat, and inviting to young artists.
