My Students

One size fits all might be true for a great pair of sweatpants, but it is certainly not true in the classroom! My students have the opportunity for tailored and intentional small group learning during our Reading Workshop daily. With your help, our time can be more organized and purposeful.

My students are thoughtful and hardworking.

They are exemplary goal setters, and they work well together. I have 28 students in my homeroom class. My school is a public charter school that helps provide students in our community with quality education to prepare them specifically for college aptitude.

My Project

With your help my students will have the opportunity to get straight to work. No student will need to scrounge up their materials before attending workshop. All materials will be available to them at the small group learning tabletop writing center. Additionally, with the Find the Evidence! reading clips, students will be able to view and practice clear and simple strategies for understanding complex grade level texts (fiction and non fiction).

With your help all of my students will have an organized work space that will help them optimize their small group learning time.

Students will also have the tools that they need to help them understand how to apply their knowledge to a text in order to develop their reading comprehension.
