My classroom consists of students from different backgrounds in a heavily military populated area who come together on a daily basis to be successful. They participate in a reading program which requires one-on-one conferencing, small group instruction, and 30 minutes of independent reading throughout the day.
In my classroom, we enjoy collaborating with our peers to give kind, specific, helpful feedback.
All of my students are very eager to learn, and enjoy working with one another. I want them to have a fun place to learn, feel safe, and know that they are valued and have a voice.
My Project
Have you ever wished you could be a little more organized, but the current situation you find yourself in isn't very helpful with that goal? These shelves will help give my students a place to store their book bins and keep our room looking a little bit neater and more student friendly. Right now, we are just putting our bins up against the wall, but they are toppling over and it just isn't helpful to the classroom environment. We are trying to focus on learning, but instead, we spend a lot of time focusing on finding materials and rearranging things to make it work.
