This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to read alone, with a buddy, or in a group - any way they can, they will!

My students are a multicultural group of energetic seven and eight year olds.

They are from diverse backgrounds with many interests and reading levels. Our school receives Title I funding due to a high level of poverty. We have a great mix of students from many cultures.

My Project

These durable, heavyweight plastic book boxes will help my students keep their independent reading books perfectly neat and organized. It will also solve a space problem! We have so many students and not quite enough shelves to keep larger book boxes.

It's amazing sometimes how new materials like these can really improve the look and feel of a classroom.

Although it seems like something so small, this set of boxes will make a huge difference in how things are stored for my students - this year and for many to come!
