Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year my Students are all 2nd graders in an Urban district. All my students currently receive free or reduced lunches. My students are kind and really want to learn and grow! I have class clowns, divas, and many more characters in my room, I love it!
"The future of the world is in my classroom today".
(Ivan Walton Fitzwater) It is so exciting when my student's really understand what they are learning. I want to help them shine. Benjamin Franklin once said an "investment in in knowledge pays the best interest!" Investing in my students is investing in the future! They really want to learn and grow!
My Project
These materials will help our classroom in several ways. The pocket charts will be used to organize centers and help with a reading focus wall so students can look on the wall to see what center they will go to and what they will be learning at that center. The colored paper is for different writing projects. The writing projects are a fun way to get scholars to like writing. The bins are for literacy centers, to put activities based on common core for students learning in small groups. Finally gorilla glue, this is useful because nothing sticks to our classroom walls without it.
