My Project

Hands-on activities are essential to keeping elementary students engaged and on task. I am working to create centers in our K-4 libraries that are fun, interactive, and provide hands-on learning for all of our students. These centers will focus on creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Centers, such as building challenges using Legos and blocks, puzzles, math and literacy practice, and technology, will be available to all elementary students to create, explore, and problem solve when they come to a library. No longer will our library be only a place to check out books; it will be a creative space where students can interact and explore their world! I have started compiling tools for students to use during center rotations, but I need help keeping all of our materials organized.
