This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our math class is home to 96 math magicians! These resilient students come into school everyday with enough energy to power 1000 suns, and most of the time are able to channel that energy into some really great math moments.

A staple in our class is the friendships we have built over the past 4 months.

During our free time in the morning students anxiously wait by the door to see when their friend will show up; they have an ongoing game they play each morning that requires team work and perseverance; they keep me ever so humble with the occasional roast that gets everyone laughing, including me.

My Project

For my first Donor's Choose project I am asking for materials that will assist in the organization of our class, such as expo markers for each student and chair pockets.

A well organized classroom encourages a good use of time, positive behavior choices, clear expectations, and a predictability that is so important for people, especially those at this developmental age.

By having designated spots for materials and enough materials allocated for each student, our class will be able to focus on the important stuff, like the 4 steps to adding and subtracting decimals, or the day's best roast
