My students need another seating option, wobble discs. They need beans bangs filled since they have been loved and flattened. The exercise balls need a place to be stored neatly when not in use.
I teach in a school in eastern North Carolina that serves a large military population. My class consists of 17 students with very different interests, personalities and learning styles.
Today's Learners are Tomorrow's Leaders.
My third graders are an enthusiastic bunch with lots of energy and excitement to learn. My students absolutely love to move and work together around the room. They would rather be laying or sitting on the floor than at their desks. They are a sweet group of children that would appreciate your generosity in providing them a comfortable environment.
My Project
We have been loving flexible seating in the classroom. Flexible seating has provided my students with the choice of where to sit and learn comfortably in our classroom. Students can choose where to learn and what works best for them. We would like to add another seating option to the mix of options. We would like to add wobble discs so that students can wiggle while they work in a chair.
Students need structure and organization in their classroom.
As we have been using our new flexible seating options this year, we have run into some issues. The exercise balls are a class favorite but when not in use, they tend to roll around the room. They need a stationary spot in the room when not in use. Our bean bags have received the most love, and this love has left them a little flat. I would like to revamp our bean bags with a bean bag filler. Students LOVE to share bean bags with a buddy when listening to a read aloud or watching a Mystery Science video.
