Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are hardworking, curious, resilient fifth graders who enjoy a challenge and are flexible enough to roll with anything the day can throw at them. My students enjoy working with one another and are working hard to develop the skills required to be prepared for middle school, which is fast approaching.
I try my best to offer my student a wide variety of learning opportunities and formats, and that requires a lot of STUFF, all of which needs to be organized, especially if I want my students to be able to independently access and maintain their materials.
While many of our materials already have "homes", these "homes" are well lived in (cracked and broken baskets, etc.) and could use an upgrade. Given then, we can use additional pouches to organize indoor recess materials and games, trays, and baskets to organize other classroom materials (such as glue sticks, colored pencils, etc.). In addition, I am lucky to be able to provide my students with a well-stocked classroom library, but many of our book bins are overflowing, so we need additional book baskets in which to organize our every-growing classroom library.
