Each day I share my classroom with 20 bright-eyed and curious students who have become "my kids!"
They have my heart and I love sharing fun learning opportunities each day.
Many of these students come to school hungry and dirty and our school works hard to help with these needs so they can feel like they have their best foot forward. We want the students to know we care about them. Their desire to learn and try new things blows me away each day.
This shelving unit is an opportunity for all of my students to have choice and independence in their learning. Each child will be able to pick an activity at their level and interest.
In each drawer, there will be an activity that will allow the students to practice new skills and for the review of others.
The children will use the color-coded drawers as a quick way to find which activities are right for them. This allows for me to differentiate my lessons and centers, so that all students are working, learning, and successful.
The organization that this shelf would provide is exciting on so many levels.
