My Students

The students in my classroom are full of energy and extremely eager to learn. My students come from a variety of different ethnic backgrounds and each of them are unique in their own way. Students in our building speak over 14 languages. They are growing very quickly, and I want to be able to tend to their needs in an appropriate way.

I am in a low-income school environment where many challenges arise in the homes of my students.

I want my classroom to be a safe haven for them, where they feel comfortable and willing to learn.

My Project

The library in our classroom is an extremely important part of my students' learning environment. These materials will help keep our library neat and organized in order to establish an effective classroom culture. All students enjoy going into the library each and every day during our Literacy Centers, and more book bins will greatly help my Kindergartners. These book bins can be easily labeled so that my students can independently put the books back where they belong.

Library exposure to 5 and 6-year-olds is essential to the Literacy Block and will help push my students to increase their reading level.

A correlated library will assist students in utilizing it properly. My students and I would be so grateful for your donations.
