My students need help with their organizational skills. These 10-Pocket Poly Portfolios will help them keep their work organized in class and at home. These portfolios will replace several 2-pocket folders, reducing disorganization and lost work.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are part of an incredible K-5 school community where students, parents, and teachers work together. We are a Title I school where 74% of our students are classified as low income.
My 5th graders love to learn and are always curious about the world.
They are eager to meet new challenges. They are a joy to teach!
My students are also very kind. They work hard to help others and solve differences using peace circles and restorative justice.
My Project
This year I am teaching 5th graders and this is their last year before heading off to the junior high. A key component to being successful in school is organization. Having a multiple pocket portfolios will greatly help my students with their organizational skills. All their classwork and homework will be located in one place. Not only is this helpful to the the students, but it is also helpful to their parents and their teachers.
Not only is organization a key to success in school, it is a key to life long success in personal life and in work life.
