My Students
My first grade class consists of twenty-two first grade students that love to learn. Each morning, I am greeted with big, bright (and, at times, tooth-less) grins. The students are not only highly motivated to learn and grow, but are very caring and respectful of each other's feelings. As a class, time is spent fostering a sense of community within the classroom. Developing a strong classroom community is important to us, as it helps us become productive citizens as we grow. Learning compassion, patience, and respect are certainly valuable lessons that go hand in hand with academic excellence.
My Project
The students in my class are in need of the Chairback Buddy Pockets for the back of their chairs. These help to keep the students organized. It allows them to keep certain books and supplies in the pockets to ensure that their desk stays neat and tidy at all times. This will help to improve transitioning from one task to the next.
My project will make a difference in the classroom.
When students are organized, they are able to focus on the task at hand.
Also, we are requesting a DOSS Touch Wireless Bluetooth V4.0 Portable Speaker with HD Sound and Bass (Black). Recently our speaker in our classroom broke. The speaker is utilized while displaying educational videos to the students. Throughout the day music is played to help students concentrate. Music is also used to allow brain breaks which allows the students to get up and move.
