Help me give my students the best classroom experience! Rolling carts to store their materials and books, chair bands for students with behaviors/ADD/autism, lap desks for flexible seating, and the rest for class learning and engagement!
This will be my third year teaching 5th grade in a new school, and I couldn’t be more excited! My goal is to create an organized, engaging, and welcoming environment for my students that will help them on the road to success. I want my students to be eager to come to school every day.
I have not met my students yet, but I know that 5th grade is such a crucial year and I want to do my best to prepare these students for middle school.
I want to provide my students will all the opportunities that I can. They deserve to have a great year and acquire the tools they will need to move up to 6th grade!
My Project
From the moment these students walk in, they will feel like it is their space. That it is welcoming and not cluttered. By having cart storage my students will have a place for their educational materials.
The lap seats and fidget bands provide an opportunity for students who have a hard time sitting still to have a flexible seating option.
Or if they want to stay at their desk then they can use a chair fidget band to help keep them calm and focused on their learning. The post-it paper will provide a space for students and myself to create anchor charts for our classroom.
The sharpener and expo pens will make it easier for students to come to school prepared to learn and their desks are dry erase, so they can use the expo pens right on their desks!
