Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I serve students that are inquisitive, eager, and passionate about 7th grade science.
My students are classified as 92% disadvantaged and 50% are ESl students. Every class period my students arrive engaged and motivated. Many of my students enjoy station activities, laboratory investigations, and enrichment projects.
At times, my students worry about the lack of resources they have, but I encourage students to persevere and to push forward. The recent effects of Hurricane Harvey can be seen in my students neighborhoods and many students lack resources additionally due to the recent hurricane.
My Project
The items requested will help the science classroom and students be organized and clean; further aiding the efficiency of the classroom. Organizational supplies will help students to be more purposefully and will provide students with a clear way to show learning from student notebooks, performance charts, and station activities.
I am also requesting basics, such as organizational carts, and pocket organizers, to help students that may not have the resources to purchase those items to bring to school and to keep the science room clean after activities.
Students learn better in an organized environment that is structured towards purposeful learning. This project will help students to learn the importance of organization.
