Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are bright-eyed and eager to learn. They come to school every day with an exciting thirst for knowledge and ready to experience and absorb as much as they can. Most of my students are first generation Americans or immigrant children and some are even being exposed to English for the very first time. We are a Title I school. This means that most of the students in our school come from a low socioeconomic background and that is why they need all the resources they can get to help improve their reading and English skills. They need all the help they can get to aid them in their academic journey and help them excel in all their learning endeavors.
My Project
Walking in to a clean and organized environment makes everyone relaxed and ready to learn. My students need a few supplies to have an organized classroom. We need a label maker and replacement tape to be able to label our notebooks, folders, and pencils. With labeled supplies, nothing will get lost and my students will not waste valuable learning time trying to decipher who the items belong to. The lamination pouches will be used to laminate student work, projects, posters, and differentiated instruction material that will make learning more engaging and the materials will last longer. Last but not least, my students need a teacher amplification system to be able to hear instruction in the entire classroom. With a teacher amplification system, I will be able to deliver lessons that all students will be able to hear and students who read really low will be able to use the equipment to have their classmates hear their reading too.
