This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am the Digital Learning Specialist at a Title I-funded, K-5, public school within the city limits, where much of our student population comes from low-income or single-parent homes. Our school serves over 500 students.
Regardless of our students' socioeconomic status, I have learned that they all have unique situations related to their education.
Each year I work with students having attention concerns and it can be very difficult for them to stay focused for extended periods of time. I like to find new, innovative ideas to help encourage and support learning for students that I work with. I want all students to wake up each day excited to be a part of our school community!
My Project
As our school's digital learning specialist and testing coordinator, I work with teachers and students to organize materials and resources for various grade levels; from testing documents to digital learning handouts. It is important to stay organized to help ensure all students are on track for successful learning.
These portfolios are the perfect resource to keep testing and digital learning documents organized by classes and grade levels.
Each pocket of the portfolio can be labeled with classes within each grade and materials will be placed in the pocket for students in that particular class. This project will allow each subject area to be organized and ready to use for instruction.
