My students are creative, loving, super inquisitive and full of energy! We, as a team, love being together in our classroom each and every day. We come together, ready to try our best and to learn new things from each other. Our classroom is a Multiple Disability Classroom, meaning that we are all very special and unique in our learning styles and behaviors. Because of this, we also require materials that are special and unique.
It may take us a little longer and we may get there a little differently than some, but we are always learning new things in our classroom.
It can sometimes be difficult to find the right adapatations and modifications to help each student learn and grow. I am trying to create a classroom where each student has the materials available to them so that they can come into school each day, and be the best that they can be.
My Project
My students are learning basic life skills throughout their day; brushing their teeth, washing their hands, being independent in the bathroom... By having organization in place in our classroom, we will be giving my students the best chance at success.
My students also require a variety of sensory items to help meet their unique sensory input needs.
By having flexible seating options, weighted blankets and objects that aide in their sensory needs, my students will be able to focus on the tasks that they working on, without interrupting their classmates learning.
