My students need storage boxes, projects cases and teacher supplies to help make their learning tools accessible in their inclusive and resource classrooms.
My Title 1 school serves 100% military families. We are a very transient school with families frequently moving in and out. Many of our students have high special education needs. Our students often have one parent deployed or away working with the military. This is my 24th year teaching students with all kinds of special education needs.
Students come to me with a wide range of skills and abilities.
My goal is to meet each student's educational needs while encouraging social interaction and growing friendships.
When students enter my resource room or their inclusion classroom, I believe it is important to focus on the growth and potential that each student has.
My Project
The students I work with have a wide range of learning differences. Many of my students come to me with very unique learning needs. Their work needs to be adapted to their learning levels.
I believe that children learn best from their peers.
I need to be able to organize their work jobs in their inclusive classroom using plastic storage containers and projects cases. The project cases will help me organize the activities for easier access. Due to my students learning differences, I need to adapt and change most of their work. The laminating sleeves and Velcro allows me to create durable and lasting work for my students. My students love to work on the same activities as their classmates and the adapted scissors allow them to become independent.
Inclusive learning is the best way for students to learn as peers are often the best teachers. These supplies will allow my students to better access their learning activities.
