My Students

My students are curious and enthusiastic learners. They enjoy hands on activities that allow them to become independent learners. As a class we work cooperatively and each member of our class is a valued and supported by the others in our classroom.

All students in our class are encouraged to be independent thinkers and strive to achieve their potential.

My class of 26 students reside in the inner city. Free breakfast and lunch is provided to 100% of the students. Of the 26 students, 9 students are English Language Learners.

My Project

Students will use these chair pockets each day as a way to organize materials. The pockets will allow students to store their personal books, assignments and materials. As they work throughout the day, students will have easy access to materials in their chair pocket as needed. This will particularly come in handy as students rotate throughout the day to work on activities and centers. When another student is using his/her desk area, the student may simply take the materials needed from his/her chair pocket rather than reaching in his/her desk and disrupting another students learning.
