Help me give my students teaching easels, durable seat sacks, privacy partitions, and more, so they can keep their learning spaces organized to inspire success.
I teach 25 brilliant young scholars who come from a variety of different backgrounds and socioeconomic statues. Approximately 50% of the students at my school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. My school is a Title I school. We celebrate our differences and use them to learn about each other and grow as learners.
In our class, we refer to ourselves as a classroom family.
Being kind, tiny humans is our #1 goal in 1st grade. We believe in having a growth mindset!
My Project
Helping students stay organized is key to learning. My students have tables instead of desks, so they do not have individual cubby spaces that traditional desks offer. The use of seat sacks in my classroom is new this year and has been SO helpful! However, our current seat sacks are of a very low quality, as a way to "test" them out and see if they will support students in staying organized.
I can truly say that seat sacks have been transformative in my classroom.
The students take ownership of their learning space and stay organized, which is a skill that they will continue to use and grow for their lifetime.
Also included in this project is a mobile teacher easel and a small group teacher easel. Both of these easels will be used to enhance whole group and small group instruction.
