Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our room is a classroom full of "Great Globetrotters!" We are an exciting group of tech-learning, savvy students. Our Title I school encompasses a 21st Century learning environment. The amazing students at our school include a diverse population with 63% Hispanic students, 48% low socioeconomic status, and 13% English Learners.
Students enter school everyday with the anticipation of, "What exciting challenges will I be faced with today?" There is never a dull moment in our classroom.
These Globetrotters are willing to help each other move forward in their learning, be creative, be critical thinkers and continue to reach their fullest potential. They take pride in their work and the work of others, striving to assume the title, "Life Long Learner."
My Project
As we all know kids need tools to help provide a successful learning outcome. Communication is also key in the fundaments of learning. Daily planners are an important tool to help students and their parents stay organized and informed.
Organization is a life skill that will follow a student in the years to come.
Students will take out their planners at the end of the day and follow the teachers directions by writing their homework and important messages that should be relayed back to their parents when they get home. Parents can also reply or message parents with concerns or questions regarding their child and school events and assignments.
