Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are caring, kind, and strong. They will help each other when needed and be there for the hard times. In my class, we love to have an inviting, relaxed, and open space for my students to feel free to be themselves and be in charge of their learning. We have flexible seating as well as a meditation area.
My students are always eager to learn through technology and independence, which is why we would love to have more resources for them to use.
At the moment, we are running low on some resources and fun things that would encourage my students to keep striving for success. They are extraordinary with what they have, and I know they would succeed even more with other resources.
My Project
The materials will be used to have a more organized and inspiring classroom climate for all students. The easier it is for students to access materials, the more beneficial instruction time will be.
Carts will be used for morning work as well as our classroom library.
The label maker will also be used in our classroom library to keep all books organized and if lost, would be able to be returned to our classroom. Yoga balls will help the students who need movement to focus, and the diffuser will allow students to have a peaceful, meditative area of learning. The goal that I have for my classroom is for my students to feel at home and encourage them to be themselves.
