We are a part of a growing South Carolina community, and the students are from diverse backgrounds. During our time together, we become a family.
My students value school and want to make every minute count!
A lot of them are above average in their abilities, including technology. They are caring, hard working, and creative and they will not hesitate to help each other.
My students are interested in a variety of academic and extra-curricular activities. They love math challenges, science, relatable stories, music, art, and sports. Their excitement and pride are so evident when they are reading, writing, and sharing what they have learned.
My Project
Who doesn't need a little more organization in everyday life? As third graders, my students have four subject textbooks, binders, journals, writing/drawing tools, scissors, glue, and folders that they must keep up with in order to complete assignments. Their desks can become crowded and messy, and the right materials at the right moments may be hard to locate.
With these seat sacks, my students will spend less time on searching for supplies and more time engaged in learning.
They will organize their materials in the desks and the seat sacks. This will decrease the frequency of being off task and frustrated due to trying to find something needed. Organizational skills are crucial as work becomes more complex, and will be beneficial in each subject. More time on task means more opportunities for academic achievements and growth.
