Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first-grade classroom is full of discovery, excitement, and knowledge. My students come in every day ready to learn and grow. They deserve every opportunity to do this. The students in my classroom are a variety of levels and needs. This includes but is not limited to English Language Learners, gifted, special needs, students with learning disabilities, girls, boys and students of all ethnicity.
With your help and donations, my students can have the advantages they deserve to expand their knowledge in first grade!
Many of my students come from low-income homes and it is difficult for them to obtain the resources they need to enhance their learning. I want to be able to provide them with these resources and the environment to help them be successful all year. I want to give them the opportunities they would not normally have.
My Project
These clip boxes, storage bins, and magnetic dots will help our classroom be more organized, which will also help the students be more efficient independent learners.
The magnets will be used to label our center charts with our names and assigned activities.
Students will be able to move their magnetic name to different activities to keep track of their progress. The velcro will help to create incentive charts so when students complete their independent work they can earn tokens to earn prizes. The tubs will keep our centers organized by subject and month so we can easily switch out activities and keep the students engaged.
My students are learning responsibility through making choices and completing work independently. All of these items will assist in giving them a more successful, accessible and efficient independent learning time each day!
