My students need the rolling cart to organize manipulatives and games the children use daily that right now is difficult to keep neat. The lap desks will help students work comfortably around the classroom.

My Students
My school is located in a small town in Ohio. Our classroom is full of 24 energetic third graders. Our students walk into our classroom each morning with a smile on their face. We start each day by singing and dancing to morning songs. These songs start our day in a positive way. Our students sing about having a good day, their desire to learn and how their teachers are there for them.
Many kids in our room are on free and reduced lunch and receive backpacks of food to eat over the weekend.
The majority of students have poor home lives so coming to school is an escape for them. I have created a fun, safe and welcoming learning environment that they enjoy coming to each day. This learning environment allows students be successful learners!
My Project
The lap desk seating will be used as flexible seating. The seats will allow our students to work comfortably. These seats will help students to sit up straight and focus on what they are working on. Having multiple lap desks will be beneficial for students working in small groups.
The organizational cart will help students access materials used daily.
Our students will be able to keep items such as math tools, games and writing materials in neat and good condition. Our students will be able to access the materials easily because we will label each drawer with the materials inside it. This cart has wheels so it can move easily throughout the classroom each day.
