Organization and Collaboration

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students at WHHS are vibrant, inspiring and fun kids. They love to work in groups and complete projects to further their learning. I have had the pleasure of teaching here for a year and am excited to return for many years to come.

WHHS is on a mission to promote curiosity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration while empowering scholars to be responsible contributing members of our community, nation and world.

I plan to further this mission next year by setting up a classroom that is collaboration and communication focused.

My Project

This project is designed to help my students excel in organization and collaboration. The set of drawers will be assigned to each grouping of desks and allow students to store their phones and other electronics as well as provide an easily accessible location for daily supplies such as headphones, pens, pencils, and other materials.

The collaboration aspect will come from the groups working together to complete classroom activities as well as encouraging success for all group members.

These groups will work together to earn points, complete assignments and do group discussions.

My students are vibrant and charismatic but they need to improve the skills of organization and collaboration in order to be successful in high school and beyond. With your help, I can teach my students these skills and create a life-long impact.
