My Project

I am a preschool teacher with 18 students. I teach in Charleston, WV, at an inner-city elementary school. This project supports age-appropriate STEM toys for my preschool students. The items included in my project that will be used for STEM activities are a puppet holder and puppets. By providing age-appropriate STEM toys, children are able to learn and become independent when exploring classroom centers. Independence skills allow students to gain self-confidence, problem-solving skills, and skills they will need throughout life. I have added clear storage containers to keep our materials clean and organized.

Organizing my classroom and having structure gives the students a sense of safety and understanding of their environment.

And I added a couple of stress relief toys to help my students self-regulate. I appreciate you reading and considering funding this project.
